We got 2 absolutely beautiful baby boys from Jan. They are sooo smart, lovable and gorgeous. I love having 2 because they play together and love eachother so much. They didn't cry once, I think, because they had eachother. I've had some great dogs in my life but, truely, these are the most special. Jan has been great to work with... She spent lots of time emailing me and taking calls to answer my questions and concerns. My lil boys are so well socialized and happy... did I say smart?? I must say that I spend a lot of time training them and loving them. I always figure that they are trying their hardest and give them a lot of praise. I have found the book: The Loved Dog by Tamar Geller a great and very positive help. Good luck in your search for your new family member. The Samaha Family

Jan:  You are right.  These are the most special dogs I've ever had... and I've had some pretty great dogs.  They have settled in to Samaha life quite quickly.  Since I talked to you about Robert and I understood him better-- once you described the mom to me...  I now see that he is just very mellow and sweet.  He actually makes me think that there is something adult and even human about him.  He is sooo smart.  I am training with them twice a day for about 20 mins each time and he is catching on sooo well.  Raymond is smart too but he's more puppy-like and looses attention span more quickly.  I'm using the training techniques used in "The Loved Dog" and they are working very well!!!!!!!!!  I love it cause I don't have to be mean or crabby at all with them.  I love them both for their own personalities but I totally understand your niece's special love for Two Spots.  He's such a lil lover!!!  Thank you so much for all the love you and your family gave to my lil guys before they got to us.  I can't imagine my life without them now.  They were meant to be our boys...  Keep in touch.  Frances

UPDATE A FEW MONTHS LATER

Jan and Ashley:  The boys are so damn cute!  Robbie would rather lay in the sun rather than.... okay, I can't really say "rather than eat" but close!  I will know that he has to pee cause he hasn't gone for a couple of hours but he'll lay out like superman in the middle of the lawn first...  Raymo is a kick, too.  He loves his toys and has enough energy for both of them. He is learning to fetch. (Robbie could care less)  When I take them for walks I have to have steak, or something equivalent, for Robbie not to spend his time, literally, sitting in the street.  He is so smart and knows exactly what he wants.  He can "sit" "stay" and stop at certain door jams.  Raymo is getting it but acts like a typical puppy.  Ashley, you are not the only one to quickly warm up to Two Spots.  I introduced him to my niece and I said, "I can see that you found your favorite."  She replied, "There's just something about him, Aunt Francie"  They go "Bye Bye" often and are so calm in the car.  We drove to Utah over Memorial Day weekend and they slept most of the way, happily...  We stayed at a Holiday Inn in a room that accepted pets and surprisingly, it was really nice.  They are so well adjusted, they adapt to every situation...  Do I sound like a wierd dog lady...  My aunt said that I am...  anyway...  Talk at you later, girls!  Frances, the wierd dog lady.

Sienna & Alda

Santa Barbara, California

Sienna Sunset is really something.  I weighed her yesterday.  She is 4
lbs.  She is a deep mahogany red.  Her ears are very long and thick,
and lighter color than her body.  Her chest is a creamy strawberry
color, as are her legs. She is housebroken.  Very smart little girl.
Extremely gentle and very loving.  I just adore her.

Maurice & Madeline

Orange County, California

I have had the absolute best experience with 3acesranch. From the first email i sent to Jan there was always a quick, fun and lively response that made me feel excited rather than stressed. She always kept me updated with pictures and news on my pup.

The puppy himself is something else entirely. He is playful when you want him to be and calm in the next moment. You can tell how well she socialized him with all different kinds of people and how much love and attention he recieved. He loves love and loves to give it.

Even now, after i have gotten my puppy, she is answering emails with questions or just even checking up on us.

My family and I couldn't recomend a better breeder than Jan at 3 aces ranch- she rocks.

Hello Jan!!! I just wanted to give you an update on my little Maurice! He is still the cutest dog to ever roam the earth and every new face that meets him reassures us so. He is so well behaved. When you want him to be calm he will be and when you want him to play with you and run he will, too. He was made for our family. My two older sisters have left for college and they only got a month or two with him. Every time they call the first thing they ask is how Maurice is, actually before asking about us. He has become the perfect little weenie for our family- a missing piece we didn't even know that was missing. Even my mom, who was the last to convince, is such a sucker for his face. She will often be in the kitchen and be stopped in her tracks by his adorable face looking up at her with an inquisitive expression. He still hates the water and freaks out whenever he is near and isn't exactly potty trained, but he gets better every day. He has just learned to sit on command and eats his Eukanuba food. At our beach house we take him on the beach and he just goes crazy. We have impressed many people by asking them to race him. They assume they are faster, but find themselves way behind him and tiring out in a matter of minutes. He thinks he can do things that he really can't, he is a little arrogant. HE tries to jump on into our arms when we are standing up, but ends up falling on his back, which is sad but still comical. Also, he doesn't know his name which is probably my families fault because we have issues not calling him by the first weird nickname that comes to mind (for example: Sacagawea- not sure why). We get compliments on his behavior and his looks wherever we go. Some have tried to steal him even haha. Thank you so much for breeding the perfect dog for our family and helping to sculpt his personality into one that is curious and loving.

Thank you! Madeline Robbins representing the Robbins Family

Tazzie & Stephanie--Don't they both look great with their new hair cuts?

I just wanted to thank you for posting the new pictures of Gypsy and the pups!!  Oh my gosh!!!!  She is just adorable!!!!  I am so excited about getting her.  I really feel that I was lead to you and meant to have this puppy.....at his time....  Things around here have been so hectic.  The adoption is official on the 31st, a week from Friday and there is just so much going on.  Your web site has become my refuge.  I come in here and get on the computer to get away.  I love looking at all the puppies.  Emily's are darling too, especially the black one with the tan on the face. I was so glad to see that you found a home for Macy.   I have totally become a wire hair maniac!  Got on eBay and there are all sorts of things you can get!! Will have to have my Wire-Hair Dachshund BumperSticker!!!.  Have to tell you that I actually saw Debbie's site before I found yours and saw Jinx!  That is why when I wrote, I said I wasn't really sure what I wanted.  Boy, things just fall into place!  Who would have known that we would end up with Jinx's mama Tazzie!  Well thanks again!  Will talk to you soon!

Proud New owner of a 3aces dachshund. Have had -"Gypsy" - for one week. She is so smart and loveable. Jan takes such care with her puppies, from the time they are born until they are delivered to their 4ever homes. Thanks Jan!!

Pasadena, California

I can't begin to thank you for how happy you have made my granddaughter and daughter.  They had loved their "Ginger" for 13 years and ended up spending over $2,000 trying to save her.  We just went through a very emotional two weeks with them.  My wife and I are currently on doxie 7 & 8.  We always have two.  Don't believe in an only dog.  As a result, Victoria was raised with Doxie's.  She called us yesterday from the college cafeteria to tell us to check your website.  Her dog said sold to Victoria from San Diego.  She is one very happy young lady.  Victoria is 20.  This dog will be loved and spoiled big time!

It is true love between Meline and Victoria.  Everytime Victoria comes into the room that little dogs tail wags 90 miles an hour.  She has adjusted well.

Hi! We just wanted to share our story about getting home from 3 ACES RANCH.(picture of BLU and JOB)

While we had a great time being born and raised at 3 Aces, Ken and Suzanne decided it was time for us to move home with them. They happen to have a plane and asked their pilot to pick us up at Lake Isabella Airport. Jan took us to the airport to meet my new mom,  Suzanne. She couldn't wait to see us so it was only an hour from Orange County Airport. Now we don't know about going through the long first drive or traveling alone but we're sure this is the coolest way to meet new parents. Ken couldn't make it but did greet us when we landed. We heard him say something about work and feeding the new family members so he'd have to introduce us to our new home. We sped right home. Now we call them "Mom and Dad" and they call us "Job and Blu". First names are out for parents!
Flying home was a cool experience and fast enough to hold our pee. Didn't even get sick. We highly recommend it. Anyway, you should talk to Jan about it. Our Sisters live somewhere else now too but we've got plenty of cousins waiting for you to pick them up.

RUFF! RUFFFFFFFffffffffffffffff!  Here's the plane . The burgers at the airport cafe are supposed to be the best (Mom ate one) but Jan says we're not allowed people food. Well maybe someday we'll fly up to pick up you pup or pups. Mom and Dad said we needed someone to play with when they we'ren't home so us "Lucky Dogs" get to grow up together.

NOTES FROM PUPPY PARENTS NOT PICTURED

Hi Jan,  Just to let you know Wally is still the sweet loving puppy you remember.  He loves to play ball, hide them under my desk and make me get down on my knees and find the balls.  This is  not my favorite game! He sleeps with me and most times is under the covers.  He loves to curl up and snuggle while I watch TV in the evenings and is sooo sweet. Wally attracts lot's of attention every time we go out to the park or to walk.  Everyone loves his coloring and his little "orange" eye brows.  He goes with me to the bank on Fridays and get treats.  Love, "Wally" and Suzy

I got home at 1:00 a.m. this morning.  Sunny (Sunny of
Sam, not to be confused with Son of Sam...sort of a
reference to my dear departed Sam) was perfect in the
car!  Only threw up once, directly at the bottom of
your driveway.  He slept all night.  At 6:15 a.m. he
started to cry, so on a whim I put him on a puppy
piddle pad.  He relieved himself, pee'd and poo'd and
went right back to sleep.  WHAT A DOG!  A fine job you
have done training him.

He is relaxing in his crate waiting for the pen area
to be assembled.  The pen area is near the back slider
so he can see what goes on outside, until the time he
can go out there too.

Frank was less than impressed, but I am hoping they
will be fine friends soon...I hope, I hope.

The first hours with this boy couldn't have been any
better and I thank you so much for all your hard work.

Fondly,   Cathy

   Jan,

Hi this is Rachael. I just wanted to let you know that the Oliver(we re named him) is doing great!! We got home yesterday and he was up playing for hours. He is eating and drinking well. He loves to play with the little toys I bought for him.  We have been playing all day and he is taking a nap right now. Everyone loves him and he's already part of the family. Thank you sooo much. We will be sending some pics of him and the family soon.

Hi Jan,
The dogs are doing great. The girl (Fagen) is feisty, very
affectionate and adorable. The boy (Jaco) is adorable too, a bit more
reserved but then loves to follow his sister around and entice her to
play. They are already good listeners... I'm amazed.

Jan has the most gorgeous dachshunds I have seen, I purchased 2 from her a choco/tn dapple boy (Cooper) and a isabella dapple LH boy (Oliver) I picked them up on fri. they are absolutely precious and full of kisses!!! If you are thinking about adopting a dachshund Jan is the person to get them from!!!
Thank you again for my beautiful boys!!
